What's the role

The Derivatives Trading Analyst supports and is part of the trading team that is accountable for almost all financial trading (futures, swaps, options) interface of Shell LNG Marketing & Trading organization.

More specific responsibilities include:

  • Be accountable for delivery of annual business targets.
  • Assist TL and Traders in day to day trading activities, market analytics and risks analysis.
  • Management of trading system of records
  • Work with Market Risk team to ensure accuracy of book.
  • Work with Ways-Of-Working to drive process improvements.
  • Always remain compliant with requirements of the Shell Trading Compliance Manual and the Code of Conduct.
  • Any other business needs as required by the desk.

What we need from you

  • Proven numeracy with solid analytical capability
  • Strong interest in a trading career
  • Effective team player and good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure with no errors
  • General knowledge of Exposure, PNL, VAR and derivatives trading
  • Familiarity with deal entry systems a strong plus, but not critical
  • Python, VBA and/or other statistical analysis programming capabilities a strong plus
  • This role will require work outside of normal office hours due to the nature of the business
